Read this instruction manual carefully before using the unit and keep it for future reference. Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

  • Handle your scale with care, as it is a precision instrument, do not subject it to high or low temperatures, high humidity, never expose it to direct sunlight and do not drop it.
  • Avoid getting of liquids into the scale body, this appliance is not waterproof.
  • Do not store or use the scale in a room with high air humidity (above 80%), do not immerse the scale body into water or other liquids as this may cause failure of scale indication or its breakdown.
  • The edges of the tape (6) are sharp and dangerous. Handle the tape measure with care!
  • If the measuring tape gets stuck and can not be rolled into the unit body, do not bend and twist it. Try to put the tape back to its place carefully.
  • Do not use the unit for weighing things, if their weight evidently exceeds max. capacity of the scale.
  • For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags, used as a packaging, unattended.

  • Do not allow children to use the unit as a toy.
  • This unit is not intended for usage by children or disabled persons unless they are given all the necessary and understandable instructions by a person who is responsible for their safety on safety measures and information about danger that can be caused by improper usage of the unit.
  • Do not repair the unit by yourself.
  • Do not dismantle or repair the scale by yourself, refer to authorized service centers for maintenance and repair.

Electromagnetic compatibility Electronic scale can be sensitive to the electromagnetic emission of other units located in close proximity (such as mobile phones, radios, radio model controllers and microwave ovens). In cases of such emission (false or inconsistent data indication on the display), use the unit away from the source of interferences.

USING OF SCALE

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least two hours at room temperature before switching on.

Battery installation

  • Unpack the scale.
  • Remove the fixing screw from the battery compartment lid (7) and remove the lid (7).
  • Insert two "AAA" batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment, strictly following the polarity (fig.2)

  • Install battery compartment lid (7) back to its place and fix it with the screw.

warningAttention!
Batteries leakage can cause injuries or unit damage.
To avoid the unit damage, follow the instructions given below:

  • Remove the batteries if you are not planning to use the unit for a long time;
  • Do not dismantle the batteries, do not expose them to high temperatures;
  • Replace the batteries in time.

Battery replacement

  • When the batteries are low the display (4) will show "Lo".
  • Remove the fixing screw from the battery compartment lid (7) and remove the lid (7). Insert two "AAA" batteries into the battery compartment, strictly following the polarity (fig.2). Install battery compartment lid (7) back to its place and fix it with the screw.
  • If you do not use the scale for a long time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment.

Measurement unit selection

  • When the unit is switched off, press and hold the on/off button (5), you will hear two sound signals, the unit will be switched on, and the display will show the flashing icon of current measurement units.
  • Pressing the button (5) subsequently select the measurement units «kg» or «lb».
  • Several seconds later you will hear a sound signal confirming your choice of a measurement unit, and the «kg» or «lb» icon will light constantly.

Weight measurement

warningAttention!

  • If you can not raise your luggage, do not try to weigh it
  • For accurate luggage weighing, the scale needs to be positioned horizontally over the luggage.
  • When the display (4) shows icon «Err» it indicates that the luggage is too heavy. Lower the luggage Immediately to prevent scale damage.
  • Pass the belt (2), e.g. through a suitcase handle and fix it with the metal hook (1) (Fig. 1).
  • Stand beside the luggage.
  • Switch the scale on by pressing the on / off button (5), you will hear two sound signals, the display illumination will light up and the display (4) will show the readings «0.00» kg.
  • Hold the scale in hand, bend your knees and without bending your back, raise your suitcase and fix it. To measure the weight of luggage, all you need is just to raise it slightly.
  • Once the weight has been measured, you will hear two sound signals and the display (4) will show the weight of luggage and the "H" icon.

Note:

  • Do not swing the luggage while weighing.
  • Do not hold luggage close to your body and do not rest it against yourself.
  • By pressing button (5) again, you can set the weight indication to zero and continue weighing.
  • After you finish weighing press and hold the button (5) to switch the unit off.
  • If the scale works improperly, try to switch the power off, for this purpose remove batteries from the battery compartment for some time and then place them back to their place, following the polarity, and switch the scale on.

Note:

  • Weight is shown on display (4) for 2 minutes, then scale will be switched off automatically.

Weighing with tare

  • Pass the belt (2), e.g. through an empty suitcase handle and fix it with the metal hook (1) (Fig. 1).
  • Switch the scale on by pressing the on / off button (5), you will hear two sound signals, the display illumination will light up and the display (4) will show the readings «0.00» kg.
  • Raise the scale and hold it until the tare weight is shown, display (4) will show tare weight and "H" icon, press button (5) again, you will hear a sound signal, tare weight indication will be set to zero, and display will show «Т» icon.
  • Put load into the tare for weighing and raise the scale, display will show load weight excluding tare, you will hear two sound signals and display (4) will show «Т» and «Н» icons.
  • After you finish weighing press and hold the button (5) to switch the unit off.

Note:

  • Minimal tare weight must be no less than two kilos.
  • Weight will be shown on display for 2 minutes, then scale will be switched off automatically.

Tape measure

  • Use the tape measure (6) for measuring linear dimensions.
  • To avoid damage of the tape measure do not stretch tape further than «100» mark.
  • The edges of the tape (6) are sharp and dangerous. Handle the tape measure with care!
  • If the measuring tape gets stuck and can not be rolled into the unit body, do not bend and twist it. Try to place the tape back to its place carefully.

Cleaning and care

Clean the scale body with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.

Do not use abrasives and solvents to clean the unit.

Keep the scale away from children in a dry cool place.
