How do I download music to the RUSH player from my computer?
You can download your favorite music to RUSH simply via Windows Explorer
1.
Hook up RUSH with your PC using the supplied USB cable.
2.
Run Windows Explorer, and select the files to download from your music file source
directory.
3.
Drag and drop the selected files to RUSH, which is named as Removable Drive in Windows
Explorer.
4.
Once the transfer process is complete, click on the Unplug or Eject Hardware removal icon
on the task tray.
5.
Follow the screen instructions on your computer to stop and eject the player. When you reach
the message: The 'USB Mass Storage device' can now be safely removed from the
system, click OK. Then unplug RUSH.

For Windows98 users

the READY display, before you unplug RUSH.
File transfer via MUSICMATCH Jukebox
1.
Hook up your RUSH player with the PC using the supplied USB cable.
2.
Launch MUSICMATCH Jukebox on your computer.
3.
Click File
the Playlist window to the portable device, or click My Library to send highlighted Library tracks
to your RUSH player. The PORTABLE DEVICE MANAGER will open. Your RUSH player
will be displayed under the Attached Portable Devices folder. If it is not, then you need to
install the MUSICMATCH plug in from the installation CD by packed with the player.
4.
You may now drag and drop your selected tracks into the PORTABLE DEVICE MANAGER
window. Files will download to the device and be listed in the window.
5.
Check the download status from the track progress bar. After tracks have been transferred to
your RUSH player, click Eject on the PORTABLE DEVICE MANAGER to complete the
operation.

What could prevent me from downloading files onto my RUSH player?
Check the connection between RUSH and your computer - the USB cable may be loose.
Check that the battery is on full power level. This is because a weak battery may destabilize the
connection; so always check that the player is loaded with a suitable or preferably fresh battery
before you start connecting.
Make sure that you have installed the USB driver and plug-in provided in the installation CD and
that USB is enabled in the BIOS set up.
Some of the files purchased from the Internet may subject to Digital Rights Management or
copyright protection and does not allow user to transfer onto a portable device. Please check
with your content providers to see if any of such restriction applies.

Are there any alternative ways to download files to the RUSH player
Use Windows Explorer to drag and drop files to and from the RUSH player. The RUSH player
should be labeled as Removable Disk.

I have problem downloading .WMA files to my RUSH player from my PC.
The problem could be due to one of the following reasons:
The file name of your WMA file may comprise of non-English or special character. Such
characters are not supported by RUSH. Please rename your file and try again.
When you were ripping songs from your music CDs to WMA with MUSICMATCH, the security
option in the Digital Rights Management setting may have not been set to allow downloading
to Portable Device. On MUSICMATCH Jukebox go to Options
Security and select the Option check box to allow downloading to Portable Device. Try
ripping the song again and download to RUSH.
If you are using MUSICMATCH version 7.2 or 7.5 to open your WMA files. The software may
prompt you to download Windows Media Player Plug-in to support playback of WMA files.
Once the plug-in is downloaded, you may open WMA files in My Library and can playback in
Playlist. However when you try to click Send to Device
Storage, the download window will show an error message Unsupported file format, stating
there is no removal icon. Instead, please check your RUSH shows
