7. Release the locking mechanisms on the arms
and remove from the wheelchair (FIGURE 18).

8. Pull the bottom of the seat upward, then push
the sides of the wheelchair together (FIGURE
19).

ADJUSTABLE QUAD RELEASE LEVER

Invacare's patented swingaway footrest and
legrests are now provided with an adjustment
screw and locknut to custom fit the snugness
of the swingaway quad release lever to your pref-
erence.
To Adjust:
1. Loosen the locknut (item 1) with a wrench and
back out the screw (item 2) with a phillips screw-
driver.
2. Close both footrests/legrests and make certain
they are in the locked position on the wheelchair.
3. Tighten screw (item 2) until the desired tautness
is achieved.
4. Tighten locknut (item 1) on the bushing of the
swingaway quad release lever.
5. Footrests/legrests are now custom fitted to your
wheelchair.
NOTE: Periodically check that the adjustment
screw and locknut are secured to prevent ex-
