    Chapter 1. Overview INTRODUCTION The EVB-LAN7801 Ethernet Development System is a USB Bridge-based platform for evaluating Ethernet switch and PHY products. Compatible switch and PHY evaluation boards connect to the EDS board via an RGMII connector. These daughter boards are available separately.

For example, with the EVB-KSZ9131RNX evaluation board installed, the EVB can be tested as a simple bridge device by connecting the USB port to the PC and Network cable to the daughter board.
