Taking Pictures with Automatic Exposure
Adjustment (Auto Bracket)
Press the shutter release button once to automatically adjust the
exposure and take three pictures in succession. After taking the pictures,
you can select the best one.
The shooting order is best exposure → –1.0 EV → +1.0 EV.

Press the four-way controller (2) in A mode.

Use the four-way controller (45)
to select a (Auto Bracket) and
press the 4 button.
The camera can now take pictures with
Auto Bracket.

Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame on the display turns green if the subject is in focus.

Press the shutter release button fully.
Press the shutter release button once to automatically adjust the
exposure and take three pictures.
• When the Instant Review time is set (p.120), the third image taken
is shown in Instant Review after shooting (p.44). However, the
image cannot be deleted while in Instant Review even if the i
button is pressed.
• Auto Bracket is unavailable in C (Movie),
(Voice Recording), b (Auto Picture), 9 (Green), y (Fireworks), F
(Digital Panorama),
modes.
(Digital Wide), and Y (Frame Composite)
