Causes
The actual grid frequency is
lower than the standard
requirement for the local
power grid.
Cause ID = 5
The actual change rate of
the grid frequency does not
meet the standard
requirement for the local
power grid.
Major
Cause ID = 1
There is a short circuit
between PV strings and the
ground.
The PV strings are installed
in a permanently moist
environment.
Major
Cause ID = 1
The insulation resistance
against ground of the input side
of the SUN2000 decreases
during operation, which causes
excessively high residual
current.

Measures
2. If the alarm occurs repeatedly,
check whether the grid frequency
is within the allowed range. If
not, contact the local power
operator. If so, refer to
Setting Protection Parameters
change the grid overfrequency
and underfrequency protection
thresholds on the SmartLogger,
SUN2000 app, or NMS after
obtaining approval from the local
power operator.

1. If the alarm occurs accidentally,
it is possible that there is an
accidental grid abnormality. The
SUN2000 automatically reverts
to normal operating status after
the fault is rectified.
2. If the alarm occurs frequently,
check whether the grid frequency
is within the acceptable range. If
no, contact the local power
operator.
1. Check the insulation resistance
against the ground of the PV
strings. If there is a short circuit,
rectify the fault.
2. If the insulation resistance
against the ground is lower than
the default value in a rainy
environment, refer to
Setting Protection Parameters
set Insulation resistance
protection on the SUN2000 app,
SmartLogger, or NMS.
1. If the alarm occurs accidentally,
it is possible that there is an
accidental external circuit
abnormality. The SUN2000
automatically reverts to normal
operating status after the fault is
rectified.
2. If the alarm occurs repeatedly or
lasts a long time, check whether
the insulation resistance against
ground of PV strings is too low.
1. Check the ventilation and
ambient temperature of the
SUN2000 installation position.
2. If the ventilation is poor or the
