Things to Consider Prior to Mounting

SELECT A LOCATION THAT ALLOWS
THE SENSOR TO PERFORM AT ITS
PEAK EFFICIENCY.
MINIMUM MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8 FT.
OPTIMAL MOUNTING HEIGHT: 8-10 FT.
Mounting above the 10 ft. can
decrease the sensor detection range.
DO NOT mount near light
sources (street lights, tra c).
PASSIVE INFRARED
(PIR) SENSOR ZONE
SENSOR ORIENTATION
FACE CONTROL PANEL TOWARD
THE GROUND.
THE FIXTURE USES A PASSIVE INFRARED (PIR) MOTION SENSOR AND AS
SUCH DETECTS CHANGES IN INFRARED RADIATION OF WARM OBJECTS
MOVING ACROSS THE DETECTION ZONES.
The (PIR) sensor can be triggered by a variety of sources including dryer vents, hot
tubs, idling vehicles, etc.
The PIR sensor CANNOT detect motion through plexiglass, plastic, or glass barriers.
DO NOT aim the PIR toward areas with pedestrian and motorized tra c and/or other
objects that generate heat.
DO NOT mount near nighttime light sources (street lights, tra c). Light sources can
cause the light to operate in daylight mode.
