Fixture should be mounted 8-10ft high for the fixed PIR to sense motion up to 40 feet away.

Locate the open holes for mounting at the midline of the mounting plate and drill a pilot hole in the center. If mounting onto brick or
masonry, drill 3/16 in. hole and place the masonry anchors (AA) in the pilot holes and hammer them into place until flushed with
surface of masonry. Drive long screws (BB) into masonry anchor until snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. If mounting onto wood surface,
drill 1/16 in. hole and use the wood screws (BB) provided to secure the mounting plate.

Remove the 4 screws on the battery compartment cover. Remove the battery compartment cover. Insert 4 new alkaline D cell batteries
(not included) into the battery compartment and orient them with the "+" and "-" markings on the back of the battery compartment.
Re-attach the battery compartment cover by aligning the legs on the top and bottom of the battery compartment cover onto the fixture
body and close the cover. Re-attach the screws.

HOW TO CHOOSE A LOCATION SITE

IMPORTANT!! READ BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
Select a location that allows the sensor to perform to its highest level.
The fixture can be mounted 2 distinct ways: WALL MOUNT or SURFACE MOUNT
This security light uses passive infrared (PIR) technology to automatically turn on the light. Passive infrared
does not detect motion, but sensing differences in ambient temperatures, versus warmer objects in its field of
view. As such, the sensor can be set off by a variety of other sources, including dryer vents, hot tubs, and the
like. The PIR sensor cannot detect motion through plexiglass or glass barriers. Select an installation location
carefully. Do not aim the PIR towards areas having frequent pedestrian or motorized traffic, and/or other objects
that generate areas of warmer air. All of these may trigger the motion sensor security light and maybe disruptive
to the intended operation of the light.
Do NOT install near other sources of light, which can fool the built-in light sensor into thinking it is daylight, and
may prevent the proper operation of the light.
