3 GENERAL

There are eight Benchmark Series 30" models in various
configurations included in the 2014 Bosch built-in wall oven product
line. All models feature Euro-convection (convection fan and ring
element) and TFT full-color displays with touch controls. The lineup
includes models with bottom-hinge doors, right or left side-swing
doors, and two field-assembled combination models, one with a 240V
Microwave Speed Oven and another with a Steam Convection Oven.
Stainless steel is the only finish offered on Benchmark models, which
have control panels and door skins made of grade 439 stainless steel
(magnetic).
The wall ovens are designed to be installed flush with cabinetry.

Recap of Functional/Technical Changes

 Cooling fan: now operates with a variable speed protocol.
Hall effect sensor has been eliminated, and thermal limiter
(HTC) has been added.
 Power supply: now located on the control module (relay
board) rather than as a separate component.
 Control module: CM controls oven operation only. The user
interface software and operation is separate. The controls are
connected via Dbus.
 User interface: TFT-based display with capacitive touch panel
managed by a separate touch control module (TCM).
 Daughter board (double ovens only): populated with relays to
operate the lower oven.
 Ventilation: air flows up through each door, then back out
over each door as air exits the appliance; some air is pulled
into the unit at the lower vent area under the appliance.
 Lighting: Soft lighting is standard on all models. Double oven
lighting is not independent – lights operate concurrently.

 Temperature control: now a two-point control for all modes
rather than a PID control for all modes.
 Hinges: Models with bottom hinge soft-close doors and
models with side-hinge doors are available.
