1. IEC POWER CABLE RECEPTACLE The included removable IEC power cable connects
here. Use only the supplied cable.
2. POWER SWITCH Applies mains AC power to the X-Frame
up position.
3. CONTROL VOLTAGE (CV) INPUT PORTS (4) Each three-pin port provides access to
the X-Frame88's software controls. +10 VDC is supplied, referenced to ground. This voltage
must returned via the "V" terminal to activate software controls.
4. FAULT CONTACTS Two, three position relay output ports. Both sets are in parallel for
convienence. A fault condition indicated by the front panel FAULT LED, is output at these
terminals as a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) relay contact. The relay con-
tacts are rated for 0.25A at 125VAC, 1A at 24VDC.
5. RS-485 PORT Two two-wire, half-duplex RS-485 connections on removable Euro con-
nectors for use with X-Net based remote control products. Each connector is internally wired
in parallel for convenient busing of adjacent units.
6. PC PORT Female DB-9 connector provides interface to external configuration/control
computer. The port is an RS-232 DTE configuration. Use a straight-thru cable (not supplied)
only. This port will not work with a "null-modem" cable.
7. RX A & B LED Separate LEDs for each I/O expansion port provide visual confirmation
that data is being successfully received by the X-Frame 88. When expansion units are con-
nected, this LED will be ON under normal operation.
8. I/O EXPANSION Expansion ports for connecting optional X-Frame 88 Break-out Box or
additional X-Frame88s. Each port includes dual RJ-45 connectors which provide seperate
conductors for transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) digital audio via standard Category 5
(CAT5) cables. This is a proprietary interface. Do not connect to Ethernet network
equipment. Damage to the equipment and/or the X-Frame 88 is possible.
9. AUDIO INPUT CONNECTORS (8) Balanced, three-wire audio input connections on
removable Euro connectors. This illustration shows the line level (MM-Line4) connector
header only. The optional MM-Mic4 input module provides mic or line level inputs and is
distinguished by a green connector header. The unit is shipped with matching pluggable con-
nectors for each audio channel.
10. AUDIO OUTPUT CONNECTORS (8) Balanced, three-wire audio output connections
on removable Euro connectors. The unit is shipped with matching pluggable connectors for
each audio channel.
