Cutting Tools and Deflectors
For safety reasons only the
combinations of cutting tool,
deflector, handle and harness
approved in your specific power
tool's instruction manual may be
mounted.
Only mowing heads may be used on
loop-handled trimmers with a curved
drive tube.
Symbols on Deflectors
An arrow on the deflector shows the
correct direction of rotation of the cutting
tools:

Nylon Line Cutting Head
Nylon line achieves soft cut for edging
and trimming around trees and fence
posts – less risk of damaging tree bark.
To reduce the risk of serious
injury, never use wire or metal-
reinforced line or other material in
place of the nylon cutting line.

Check the wear marks
To avoid the risk of injury from tool
breakage and parts being thrown in your
direction, do not use the mowing head
if the raised moldings (1) on its base are
worn as shown in the illustration. Install
a new mowing head.
