5. MAINTENANCE

Proper maintenance ensures safe, economical and trouble-free operation. Improper
maintenance may cause the unit to malfunction and can lead to serious injuries.
Contact Customer Support if you have any maintenance questions.

5.1 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Regular maintenance will improve performance and extend the service life of the
pump. Maintain the water pump according to the maintenance schedule below.
NOTE
  Service more frequently when used in dusty areas or adverse
conditions.
  These items should be serviced by an authorized service center, unless
you have the proper tools and are mechanically pro cient. Refer to user
guide for service procedures.
Replace air lter if it cannot be adequately cleaned.

Change oil after every 100 hours or yearly, whichever comes rst. Service more

frequently when operating under heavy load or in high temperatures.
Recommend service to be performed by authorized service dealer.

Before Each Use
Check engine oil level
Inspect air lter
Every 20 Hours or First Month
Change engine oil
Every 50 Hours or 6 Months
Check and clean air lter
Check and clean sediment cup
Every 100 Hours or 12 Months
Change engine oil
Inspect/clean spark arrestor
Inspect/clean spark plug
Inspect/clean fuel line
Every 300 Hours
Replace spark plug
Clean combustion chamber
Inspect/adjust valve clearance
Clean fuel tank and strainer
