1.2. TROUBLESHOOTING

Error
Electric height adjustment does not work
Manual height adjustment does not work
The brake function does not work
The armrest seems loose
The chair rolls badly
Brake rod or chassis is in the way when I move in the
chair
Brake rod seems loose
The backrest arm slides down
If the above does not solve your problem, you should contact your VELA
supplier.
Possible cause and solution
The plug is not in the armrest – plug it in
There is no power on the chair's battery. Charge the
battery with the supplied charger
The fuse is broken. See section 1.3.3
There is too much load or uneven load on the chair.
Try to adjust the height without sitting in the chair. If
this does not work, the gas cartridge is defective and
should be replaced. Contact your VELA supplier
The brake is not activated. See section 2.0.14., 2.0.15.,
2.0.20. or 2.0.21.
One of the hand screws might be loose. Tighten the
hand screw
Wheels are blocked. Clean the wheels for wire residue
and the like.
You have a chair with seat rotation. Use seat rotation to
straighten the chair. See section 2.0.11.
The hand screw holding the brake rod might be loose.
Tighten the screw. See section 2.0.19.
Tighten the hand screw further, as shown in section
2.0.1. You can tighten the hand screw hard without
damaging the product.
