Problem
No water / steam
comes out from
the pump.
Coffee comes
out around the
edge of the filter
holder.
The "crema" of
the coffee is
light in colour.
The "crema" of
the coffee is
dark in colour.
No steam is
generated.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Possible Causes
No water in the tank.
The water hasn't been
pumped out.
The machine is not
preheated.
The spout holes are blocked.
The coffee powder is too
fine.
There is too much coffee in
the filter holder.
The ground coffee has not
been tamped sufficiently.
There is insufficient ground
coffee.
The coffee grind is too
coarse.
The ground coffee has been
tamped too hard.
There is too much ground
coffee.
The coffee grind is too fine.
Water tank is empty.
The Espresso Maker is not
turned on.
Steam tube is blocked.
Solution
Fill the tank with drinking water
and turn on the Espresso Maker and
espresso funtion by pressing
and
.
Pump the water: press
the steam knob. When there is water
coming out, then follow the instruction
to make espresso.
The machine needs to be preheated
before making espresso. Follow
instructions on Preheating the
Espresso Maker.
Clean the spout holes.
Please replace it with the coffee
powder which is relevantly coarse.
Reduce the quantity of coffee using
the measuring spoon.
Tamp the coffee harder.
Use a larger quantity.
Use only ground coffee for espresso
machines.
Tamp the coffee with less force.
Decrease the quantity used.
Use only ground coffee for espresso
machines.
Fill the tank with correct amount of
drinking water.
Turn on the Espresso Maker and follow
the instructions.
Clean the steam tube using a clip. Or
clean the steam tube with hot water
after foaming.
