2. Remove hex nut and clamp plate from tool
rest base (see Figure 3).

Install clamp plate and hex nut removed in
Step 2 on clamp bolt and hand-tighten (see
Figure 5). Clamp plate must be aligned with
extension bed to sit flush.

Rotate eccentric rod handle to secure tool
rest base on bed extension (see Figure 4).
Note: If eccentric rod handle does not secure
tool rest base, tighten hex nut from Step 4
until it does.
Install either tool rest arm or outboard exten-
sion shaft in tool rest base hole, then secure
with adjustable handle (see Figures 6–7).
— Tool rest arm provides extra adjustment
and reach for larger workpieces.
