8. Spare fuse (10A, 20 A, 30 A)

Install the spare engine main fuse into
the engine main fuse slot, and then tight-
en the screws in their original positions.

When replacing a fuse other than the en-
gine main fuse, remove the fuse using
the fuse puller. Install a spare fuse of the
proper amperage.

Install the fuse box cover.

Trouble Recovery
Consult your Yamaha dealer if the new fuse
immediately blows again.

Power trim and tilt unit will not oper-
ate

WARNING
Never get under the engine while it is tilt-
ed. Severe injury could occur if the out-
board motor accidentally falls.
If the outboard motor cannot be tilted up or
down using the power trim and tilt unit be-
cause of a discharged battery or a failure with
the power trim and tilt unit, the outboard mo-
tor can be tilted manually.

Stop the engine.
2.
Loosen the manual valve screw by turn-
ing it counterclockwise until it stops.

Tilt the outboard motor up manually to
the desired position, and then tighten the
manual valve screw by turning it clock-
wise.
