Making Calls

Using the Base Unit

You can make a call by simply lifting the handset off the cradle and dialing a
phone number. To hang up, place the handset on the cradle.
• "Talk" is displayed while using the handset.
To have a hands-free phone
conversation

Press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].
• The indicator lights and "SP-phone"
is displayed.

Dial a phone number.
• The dialed number is displayed.
• After a few seconds, the display will
show the length of the call.
• If you misdial, press [DIGITAL
SP-PHONE] and start again from
step 1.

When the other party answers, talk
into the MIC (microphone).

To hang up, press [DIGITAL
SP-PHONE].
• The indicator goes out.
Hands-free Digital Duplex Speakerphone
For best performance, please note the following:
• Talk alternately with the caller in a quiet room.
• If you or the other party has hearing difficulty, press [ ] to decrease the
speaker volume.
• You can switch to the handset by lifting it up. To switch back to the
speakerphone, press
To adjust the handset/speaker volume while talking
3 levels (High, Medium and Low) are available for the
handset and 8 levels for the speaker.
To increase, press [ ]. To decrease, press [ ].
• The number of steps indicates the volume level.
