9. Troubleshooting

If you think there is something wrong with the instrument

9.1.
When you assume there is something wrong with the instrument, please check the list shown below.
In case the countermeasures show below do not solve the issue, please contact our representative
you purchased from.
It is very much helpful if you can prepare the model name, the serial number, and as much detailed
information of the symptom when you contact the representative.
Symptom
Unable to turn the
power ON
The display does
not show a photo
image, or show
distorted image.
The display shows
or
The display does
not show sound
pressure map or
not stable.
Assumed reason
Battery is not
installed correctly
Battery charged level
is low
Protection plate for
the camera is dirty.
Cut off value being
too high.
Exceeding the
instrument's
operational
temperature, or
internal temperature
is too high.
Ultrasonic wave is
low.
No ultrasonic wave is
generated or below
detection level.
Countermeasure
Follow this manual and install it
correctly.
Charge your battery pack.
Or, exchange the battery pack to your
spare battery pack (sold separately).
Clean the sensor window with soft cloth
and take any dirt off.
Configure your cut off value lower.
Avoid using the instrument under high
temperature environment exceeding
45℃ or only use the instrument for a
short time (several minutes) under such
environment. Also, avoid leaving it
while its power turned ON for long
period of time in closed place.
Turn the power OFF and restart using
after the instrument's temperature is
low.
Increase the Gain.
Normal operation in case there is no
sound source. To confirm, use oscillator
(MP-161-S001) or simulative sound
source (ultrasonic sound source) to see
if your instrument shows a sound
pressure peak.
