VI. ASSEMBLY AND FOLDING YOUR Stride
5. Press the latch for one of the anti-tip brackets, which are located at the inside of the rear wheels
under the motors. Fully extend the ant-tip until it locks into place. See figure 6. Repeat step 5 for
the opposite anti-tip.
The two anti-tip brackets must be fully extended and locked. Failure to comply can
result in the power wheelchair tipping over and serious injury to you and others near you.
6. Place the two freewheel levers into the drive position. Note: The power wheelchair will not drive
in freewheel. See figure 7.
The power wheelchair can be folded to reduce the volume for transportation or storage.
To Fold:
1. Power off the wheelchair.
2. Place the two freewheel levers in the the forward
or drive position. See figure 6.
3. Push down on the backrest, pull up the latch
see figure 8; fold the wheelchair with one hand
pushing the backrest and the other hand on the seat tube. See figure 3.
The two anti-tip brackets must be fully extended and locked to allow the power
wheelchair to stand while in the folded position. Failure to comply will cause the power wheelchair
to tip and fall over. This may result in serious injury to you and others near you.
4. Flip up the footrest. See figure 9.
