5.6 Electronic Programme Guide (EPG)
Almost all TV and radio broadcasters utilize the DVB SI (Service Information) data stream to provide
programme information relating to their programmes. These can be interpreted by the receiver, and
displayed on screen in an internally generated electronic programme guide (EPG).
5.6.1 Current Programme (Now/Next)
Each time you switch channels, there is a brief
message on screen, displaying the programme
name, current time, starting and end time, title and
content of the current programme.
The elapsed time bar graph display indicates
how much of the programme's total broadcast time
has already elapsed. In addition, the starting and
end times as well as the title of the next (following)
programme is displayed.
You can specify how long this (and any other)
information should be displayed on screen (go to
"Installation / Setup", then select entry
"Display Settings", followed by "Popup Time".
From this widget, the user can toggle the time using the Left/Right navigation keys and define/cancel
a reminder pressing the Timer keys on the remote control. When the reminder will start, the user
will have the ability to zap to the programmed reminder event automatically from a popup message.
A small clock logo is displayed at the right of the widget when there is a reminder.
5.6.2 Calling up the EPG
You can access the electronic programme guide at
any time by pressing the "EPG" key (yellow function
key) on the remote control. You can also access the
EPG via the Main Menu. Here, you must use the
directional keys to select the entry "TV Guide / EPG",
then confirm by pressing the "OK/Menu" key.
