Adjusting the surround sound

To erase the 3D PHONIC
screen, press
ENTER
PHONIC screen disappears if
there are no operations for
m ore than 10 seconds.

You can select the sim ulated surround effect depending on the disc contents. If
you connect the unit to your stereo system , you can enhance sound quality and
produce a greater surround effect.

To simulate the surround sound [3D PHONIC]

NOTES
The sound effect (3D PHONIC) is possible only on discs w hich are recorded
in DOLBY SU RROU N D or DOLBY DIGITAL. How ever, som e DOLBY
SURROUND or DOLBY DIGITAL discs do not contain the rear sound signal,
in this case, the setting can be changed but the sound effect cannot be
obtained.
You can change the setting of the discs w hich do not contain the rear sound
signal, but the sound effect cannot be obtained.
The sound effect is not possible, and w ill not w ork even if set w hen the unit
outputs the DTS or Dolby Digital bitstream signal from the DIGITAL OUT
jack.
The sound effect w ill not be set or operate, even if
sound of DVD discs recorded in Linear PCM .
W hen you set t he 3D PHON IC funct ion t o on, t he DOW N M IX and
COM PRESSION setting in the PREFERENCE display are disabled.
