Device layout
To turn on the device, press and hold the Power key for a few seconds.
 Ensure that the back cover is closed tightly to prevent water and dust from entering the device. Open or loose back cover may allow water and dust to enter the device and cause damage. |
Installing a nano-SIM card and a battery
Installing a nano-SIM card
- Use only nano-SIM cards that support the Emergency Services Network (ESN).
- Nano-SIM cards are sold separately.

Installing a battery
Turn the screw with a coin or other objects to lock or unlock the back cover. Using your fingernails may cause damage.
- Do not bend or twist the back cover excessively. Doing so may damage the cover.
- Ensure that the back cover is closed tightly, and then turn the screw clockwise to lock the back cover.
- Use only Samsung-approved back covers and accessories with the device.
Charging the battery
The battery in your device should already be partially charged.
Use only USB Type-C cable supplied with the device. The device may be damaged if you use Micro USB cable.
The charger should remain close to the electric socket and easily accessible while charging.
Using the charger
If you charge the device while the multipurpose jack is wet, the device may be damaged. Thoroughly dry the multipurpose jack before charging the device.
Using the charging dock
Use the charging dock to charge the device and the spare battery.
Attaching the belt clip
Attach the belt clip to your device to connect it to the belt or other objects.
Detaching the belt clip
Pull the handle at the bottom of the belt clip and detach it from the device.
