4.10.3. Updating the firmware

If you wish to take advantage of new functionalities or improved functionalities for your Hercules WiFi
Extender, we recommend that you regularly visit the
check whether any firmware updates are available.
We strongly recommend that you carry out firmware updates while connected by the black Ethernet
cable (and not via WiFi).
During the update, all settings that you have previously modified (WiFi network name, WiFi security
key...) will be lost!
If a firmware update is available:
- Visit the www.hercules.com
- In WiFi Extender Manager :

website (Support/FAQ tab) and download the new firmware.

- On the home page, click the
Toolbox button.
- Select Update firmware.
- Click the Browse... button.
- Select your firmware file downloaded
from the www.hercules.com
then click Open.
- Click Update to import the data.
Your Hercules WiFi Extender will now
use this new firmware version.
