Reset the cleaning indicator

When you replace the grease fi lter after
cleaning, it is suffi cient to press the button for
position of the motor for 3 seconds to again

set the indicator.
If you ignore this, the 4 indicator lights will remain on for
30 seconds when the cooker hood is switched off.
Accessing the grease fi lter
First protect the hob. Grip the bottom plate left and right
and pull it downwards so that the grease fi lter is visible.
You can take the grease fi lter from the hood by pulling the
handle on the fi lter. The fi lter will come down.
Cleaning the grease fi lter
The metal grease fi lter can be cleaned by hand or in a dish-
washer. We recommend cleaning the grease fi lter by hand.
Cleaning the fi lter by hand:
− Immerse the fi lter in a solution of boiling water to which
a degreasing detergent has been added.
− Use a brush for cleaning
− Then rinse the fi lters with warm water under a tap and
allow them to dry.
Cleaning the fi lter in a dishwasher:
− Use a customary dishwasher detergent
− Do not put the saturated grease fi lters together with
crockery in the dishwasher
− Select a programme with a low temperature
− After cleaning allow the fi lter to drain.


When cleaning in a dishwasher the fi lter may
discolour as a result of the salt content. This
does not affect its operation.

Replacing the grease fi lters
− Before replacing the grease fi lter, clean the edges of the
part in the extractor hood in which the fi lter is placed.
− Grasp the fi lter with 2 hands.
− Make sure that the lock or the lip on the fi lter is on the
bottom side.
− Insert the back of the fi lter in the opening, press the fi lter
upwards at the front and make sure it clicks tight.

or the Novy website. Article number grease

3.3 Recirculation fi lter (optional))
If recirculation is chosen the active carbon cartridges are
turned left and right on the motor of the cooker hood.
Replacement indicator recirculation fi lter

Indication: 4 fl ashing indicator lights
After 120 hours of running the motor, when the cooker hood
is switched off, 4 indication LEDs on the speed buttons
will fl ash for 30 seconds.This indicates that the carbon
fi lter needs to be changed (if present). It is recommended
to clean the grease fi lter at the same time.
