INHIBITING TAWS OR TERRAIN
Inhibiting TAWS or TERRAIN:
1)
Select the TAWS or TERRAIN Page and press
the MENU Key. 'Inhibit Terrain?' is selected
by default.
Press the ENT Key. The 'TER INHB' annunciation

is displayed in the annunciator field when
TAWS or TERRAIN is inhibited.
Annunciator Field
NOTE: Inhibit mode deactivates TAWS or
TERRAIN alerting when deemed unnecessary
by the pilot. Flying VFR into an area where
unique terrain exists could cause the system to
annunciate nuisance alerts. Pilots should use
discretion when inhibiting the TAWS or TERRAIN
system and always remember to enable the
system when appropriate.
Enabling TAWS or TERRAIN:
1)
Select the TAWS or TERRAIN Page and press
the MENU Key. 'Enable Terrain?' is selected
by default.
Press the ENT Key. The TAWS or TERRAIN
2)
system is functional again.

departure, enroute, and arrival airports.

Selecting a frequency list for a departure,
enroute, or arrival airport:
1)
From the NAV/COM Page, press the small right
knob to activate the cursor.

Turn the large right knob to place the cursor
on the airport identifier field (top line on the
NAV/COM Page).
Turn the small right knob to select the desired

airport and press the ENT Key.
