Notice to Installer:
1. See page 2 for specific product safety warnings.
2. In conformance with UL Standard 1598, a silicone based sealant must be used
between luminaire and supporting surface.
3. Luminaire mounts directly to standard recessed 4" octagonal wiring (by others),
using mounting plate provided.
Installation: Luminaire
1. Loosen the (1) 3mm hex head set screw on the fixture canopy to remove luminaire
base.
2. Feed luminaire wiring through the luminaire base and mounting plate into wiring box
(by others).
3. Make supply wiring connections to luminaire in wiring box:
MAIN VOLTAGE SUPPLY WIRE TO BLACK LUMINAIRE WIRE
NEUTRAL (COMMON) SUPPLY WIRE TO WHITE LUMINAIRE WIRE
GREEN GROUND WIRE TO GREEN LUMINAIRE WIRE
Dimming (if applicable):
DIMMING CONTROL (+) TO POSITIVE LUMINAIRE DIM CONTROL WIRE
DIMMING CONTROL (-) TO NEGATIVE LUMINAIRE DIM CONTROL WIRE
4. Attach provided mounting plate directly to a 4" standard octagonal wiring box using
the (2) phillips head screws (provided).
5. Important! Place a small bead of silicone around the back side of the mounting
plate that will come in contact with the finished surface (exterior applications only).
Failure to do so can cause water entry and will void warranty.
6. Place luminaire base over the mounting plate. Tighten nuts (provided) on the studs
to secure. (Figure 1)
7. Ensure stainless steel safety cable is connected between luminaire canopy and
luminaire base.
8. Place luminaire over luminaire base, aligning the set screw with the feature shown
in Figure 2. Twist canopy to lock into place.Tighten (1) 3mm hex head set screw to
secure luminaire.
9. To adjust head angle, use 6mm hex head screwdriver to loosen screw at aiming
joint. Aim luminaire head as needed and tighten screw to secure into place.
