6.2 Configuring the S7 Station with the ET 200SP
distributed I/O system
Note The configuration of the S7 station and the configuration of the SIMATIC
ET 200SP communication module CM PtP are fully implemented in the project.
This chapter is for information only.
Note In this application example, the configuration of the ET 200SP communication
module CM PtP is carried out with the system block "Port_Config".
If you do not use the "Port_Config" system block, you must set the connection
parameters of the ET 200SP communication module
CM PtP in the hardware configuration
This chapter describes the configuration steps required to create a project with a
SIMATIC S7-300 CPU, the ET 200SP distributed I/O system (with the CM PtP
communication module), and the SIMATIC MV320 optical handheld reader.
1. Create a new project in STEP 7 V17.
2. Add the S7 station to the project.

8. In the "Devices & networks" view, open the Device View of the ET 200SP and
select the CM PtP communication module.
9. Switch to "Device view > Properties > General > Interface > Specification of the
operating mode" and select "RS232C".
