Common Procedures 3. Lift the chassis off the frame of the PFU. 4. Place the chassis on a clean, flat surface. 5. With the chassis removed you can see the friction pad that prevents double-feeding from the paper cassette. Clean this pad with a damp cloth to prevent double-feeding. Paper Feed Clutch, Rollers Paper Feed Clutch, Rollers Gears, Paper Feed Clutch Preparation Remove: • Paper cassette, rear unit • Right cover, cross-piece • Left cover • Chassis • Motor mount 1. Remove the harness cover plate [1] ( x1, Tabs x4). The harness cover plate is fastened by four tabs at the locations shown by the arrows. - Page 20 1. Replacement and Adjustment 3. Disconnect all harnesses from the PFU control board ( x All). 4. Disconnect paper feed clutch [1] and gear [2] ( x 2). 5. Remove the gears in order as shown above. • Be sure to re-install them in reverse order.
