Replacing fuses
• Place the motorcycle on its
centre stand
• Remove the seat
• Unlock the cap of the central
electrics unit by pressing the
retainers in the direction indi-
cated by the arrow and
remove the cap

• Use puller 1 to remove the
blown fuse from its socket
• Insert a new fuse of the cor-
rect rating
• Close the cap of the central
electrics unit
• Lock the seat

Note:
It is advisable to have the elec-
trical system checked by a spe-
cialist workshop, preferably an
authorised BMW motorcycle
dealer, if fuses blow frequently.
