Preparing the Machine
No Parts Required
Procedure
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, and engage the parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for
all moving parts to stop.
3.
Check the tire air pressure before use; refer to
Checking the Tire Air Pressure (page
Note:
The tires are overinflated for shipping.
Adjust the tire air pressure before operating the
machine.
4.
Check the hydraulic-fluid level; refer to
the Hydraulic-Fluid Level (page

Grease the machine; refer to
Bearings and Bushings (page
Important:
Failure to properly grease the
machine will result in premature failure of
critical parts.
6.
Open the hood and check the coolant level; refer
to
Checking the Coolant Level (page

Check the level of the engine-oil level, and close
and latch the hood; refer to
of the Engine Oil (page
Note:
The engine ships with oil in the
crankcase; however, check the oil level before
and after the engine is first started.

Remove the reel motors from the shipping
brackets.
2.
Remove and discard the shipping brackets.
3.
At each cutting unit lift arm, remove the snapper
pin that secures the cap to the lift arm pivot
yoke, and remove the cap
