When the 5.1-channel mode is selected, SURROUND L, R, CENTER, and SUB WOOFER terminals are enabled, thus allowing the connection of a Dolby Digital decoder or DVD player with 5.1-channel output.

Turning ON 5-D THEATER The 5-D THEATER function provides clear dynamic sound effects by outputting audio signals through the rear channel to simulate stereo sound. Mixing the surround effects with the 5-D THEATER effects will provide sound with depth. Effects may be less in scenes where sounds do not shift, between L and R channels.
