Operation sequence of the burner

7.2.1

Burner start-up

Starting phases with progressive time intervals shown in sec-
onds:
The TL control device closes. After about 2.5 sec.:
0s: the control box starting cycle starts.
The fan motor starts.
1s: The ignition transformer is connected.
The pump sucks the fuel from the tank through the piping
and the filter and pumps it under pressure to delivery. The
piston rises and the fuel returns to the tank through the pip-
ing.
The screw closes the by-pass heading towards suction line
and the solenoid valves, de-energized, close the passage
to the nozzles.
16s: the solenoid valve opens; and the fuel flows through the
piping and the filter and is then sprayed by the nozzle, ig-
niting when it comes into contact with the spark.
26s: the ignition transformer switches off.
The starting cycle comes to an end.
7.2.2

Operation

System not equipped with control device TR (jumper wire in-
stalled)
The burner is fired as described above. Then, if the temperature
or pressure increases until the TL opens, the burner shuts down
(tract A-A in diagram).
7.2.3

Ignition failure

If the burner does not fire, it goes into lockout within 10s of the
opening of nozzle valve and 26s after the closing of the TL.
The control box red pilot light will light up.
7.2.4

Burner flame goes out during operation

– If the flame goes out while the burner is running, the burner im-
mediately goes into lockout.
– If the flame goes out while the burner is running, a maximum
of 3 attempts to repeat the operation are allowed.
– If the flame goes out while the burner is running for the fourth
time, the burner goes into the lockout phase.
