Overview

This unit is located in the feed path inside the finisher and sequentially punches holes once
the media stops.
The media loaded from the host machine is fed by the inlet roller and feed roller of the
finisher. When the trailing edge of the media reaches a prescribed location, the media is
stopped for a moment and punched at the trailing edge.
The name and role of motors and sensors used for punching are shown below.
Motor Function
Punch slide motor (M101) Drives the punch slide unit.
Punch motor (M102) Drives the punch unit.

Horizontal registration HP Detects the punch slide unit home position.
