Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
"CD."

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the CD
unit.

Press (MENU) , then press either side of
(DISC/PRST) repeatedly until "NAM E
DEL" appears.

Press (ENTER) .

Press either side of (DISC/PRST)
repeatedly to select the disc name you
w ant to erase.
6
Press (ENTER) for tw o seconds.
The name is erased.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 if you want to erase
other names.
7
Press (MENU) tw ice.
The unit returns to normal CD play mode.
Note
When a personalized label is erased, t he original
CD TEXT inf ormat ion w ill appear in t he display.

file function or an M D unit)
You can use this function for discs that have
been assigned a custom name. For more
information on disc memo names, refer to
"Labeling a CD" (page 12).

Press (LIST) .
The name assigned to the current disc
appears in the display.
When you assign a disc memo name to a
CD TEXT disc, it takes priority over the
original CD TEXT information.

Press either side of (DISC/PRST)
repeatedly until you find the desired
disc.

Press (ENTER) to play the disc.
Notes
• Af t er a disc name has been displayed f or f ive
seconds, t he display ret urns t o normal play
mode.
• The t rack names are not displayed during M D or
CD TEXT disc playback.
• If t here are no discs in t he magazine, " NO DISC"
appears in t he display.
• If a disc has not been assigned a cust om f ile,
" ********" appears in t he display.
• Some let t ers cannot be displayed during M D or
CD TEXT disc playback.
• If an opt ional TV syst em is connect ed, t he disc
memo name appears in t he display of t he TV
syst em but not in t he unit 's display.
