Locat ing a disc by nam e
— List-up (For a CD unit w ith the CUSTOM
FILE function or an M D unit)
You can use this function for discs that have
been assigned custom names*

Locat ing discs by t he CD TEXT inf ormat ion:

w hen you play a CD TEXT disc on a CD unit w it h
t he CD TEXT f unct ion.

Press (LIST) momentarily.
The name assigned to the current disc
appears in the display.

Press (LIST) repeatedly until you find the
desired disc.

Turn the SEEK/ AM S control dial to play
the disc.
Notes
• Once a disc name has been displayed f or 5
seconds, t he display goes back t o it s normal
playback mode.
• The t rack names are not displayed during M D
playback.
• If t here are no discs in t he magazine, " NO DISC"
appears in t he display.
• If a disc has not been assigned a cust om f ile, " NO
NAM E" appears in t he display.
• If t he disc inf ormat ion has not been read by t he
unit , " NOT READ" apppears in t he display. To
load t he disc, f irst press t he number but t on, t hen
choose t he disc t hat has not been loaded.
• The inf ormat ion appears only in upper cases.
There are also some let t ers w hich cannot be
displayed (during M D playback).

The unit can store up to 6 stations per band
(FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, and AM2).
Caut ion
When tuning in stations while driving, use
Best Tuning Memory to prevent accidents.

The unit selects the stations with the strongest
signals within the selected band, and stores
them in the order of their frequency.

Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select the
radio.

Press (MODE) repeatedly to select the
band.

Press (SENS/BTM) for 2 seconds.
The unit stores stations in the order of their
frequencies on the number buttons. A beep
sounds when the setting is stored.
Notes
• If only a f ew st at ions can be received due t o
w eak signals, some number but t ons w ill ret ain
t heir f ormer set t ings.
• When a number is indicat ed in t he display, t he
unit st art s st oring st at ions f rom t he one current ly
displayed.
