Thank you for choosing the Guard Twin Solar Security Light. Please read these instructions carefully
Always take care when installing your light, especially when mounting it in high places. If
you are at all unsure, please contact your retailer or a professional trades person for
advice.

How does it work?

The Guard Twin has a powerful 3.2W solar panel which charges a high capacity battery
during the day. At night the charge stored in the battery powers the Guard Twin enabling
it to light when it detects motion.

Installation

Please carefully consider where you wish to install your light before making alterations to your
property. It's particularly important that the solar panel receives as much sunlight as possible.
Ensure that it is not obstructed by buildings, fences, trees, sheds, etc, or the shadows that
these create. If the solar panel is installed in a poor location, it may not perform to the best
of its ability.
The Guard Twin can be mounted onto a flat, vertical surface, such as a wall. Depending on the location of your Guard Twin, you can
choose to integrate the solar panel or mount it separately to get the best sunlight.

Separate Light and Solar Panel Installation

1. It might be easier to remove the light from the bracket in order to install it. Once you have decided on your light base location,
place and mark the two holes you need in the mounting bracket. Place the light to one side, drill your two marks and secure the
mount using the supplied screws and screw plugs. If you removed the light from the bracket, you can now reattach it.
2. Once your light is mounted, simply open the cover and pull out the cable to the length you need which will connect to your solar
panel once that has been mounted.
3. Ensure you have decided on the best place for your solar panel, place and mark the holes you need. Prepare the holes and screw
your solar panel into place using the supplied screws and screw plugs.
4. Simply connect the solar panel cable to the Guard Twin light and fully tighten the valve.

Integrated Solar Panel

1. Refer to step 1 above. Take your light fitting and secure your solar panel to the back of the light with a screwdriver. Once this
has been completed, you can now reattach your light back into the base.
2. Simply connect the solar panel cable to the Guard Twin light and fully tighten the valve.

Operating Instructions:

Now your Guard Twin is installed, turn it on by pressing the switch on the back of the light. The light will charge during the day and
activate automatically at night.
