CONTROLS

1. ON/OFF
   Switches the device on and off;
   VOL
   Adjusts the volume.
2. 
   Jack for commercially available stereo earphones.
3. FM BAND MW
   Selects the FM (VHF) and MW (Medium Wave) frequency bands.
4. TUNING
   For tuning to a radio station.
5. FM MHz/MW kHz
   Frequency display.
6. Telescopic antenna for FM reception.
7. Battery compartment.

PREPARATION

1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Insert two batteries (micro type, 1.5 V, LR 06/AM3/AA) in the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity of the battery is as marked on the bottom of the compartment.
3. Push the battery compartment cover back in.
   Note: If you are not going to use the device for a long period of time, remove the batteries from the compartment. Remove a flat battery immediately.
   Batteries, including those which are free of heavy metal, must not be disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in an environmentally sound manner. Observe the legal regulations which apply in your area.

RADIO MODE

1. Turn »ON/OFF« to the left to switch on the device.
2. You can connect the earphones to the» « socket.
3. Adjust the volume with »VOL «.
4. Use »FM BAND MW« to select the frequency band (FM or MW)
   – The radio has a built-in rod antenna for MW reception. Turn the device to point the antenna.
5. Use »TUNING« to tune to a station.
6. Turn »ON/OFF« to the right to switch off the device.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Stereo earphone volume

Excessive volume can be dangerous to yourself and other road users.
Listen at a volume which allows you to hear outside noises such as horns, emergency vehicles and police cars.

Cleaning

Do not use any cleaning agent, as this may damage the casing. Clean the device with a clean, moist leather cloth.

This device is noise-suppressed according to the applicable EC directives. This product fulfils the European directives 2004/108/EC, 2006/95/EC. This device conforms to the safety regulation DIN 60065 (VDE 0860) and therefore the international safety regulation IEC 60065.
