Controls

Controls

  1. ON/OFF
    Switches the device on and off.

  2. Jack for the stereo earphones supplied.
  3. MW•FM•FMST
    Selects the Medium Wave, FM and FM stereo frequency bands
  4. TUNING
    For tuning to a radio station.
  5. ON UBS OFF
    Switches the UBS bass booster function on and off.
  6. VOL.
    Volume control.
  7. Detachable belt clip.
  8. Battery compartment.

PREPARATION

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Insert a battery (LR 03/AM 4/AAA) in the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity of the battery is as marked on the bottom of the compartment.
  3. Push the battery compartment cover back in.
    Note: If you are not going to use the device for a long period of time, remove the battery from the compartment. Remove a flat battery immediately. Do not dispose of the used battery with domestic refuse. Always dispose of used batteries according to the regulations which apply in your area.

RADIO MODE

  1. Press »ON/OFF« to switch on the device.
  2. Connect the earphones to the » « socket.
    – The earphone cable functions as an FM antenna.
  3. Adjust the volume using »VOLUME«.
  4. Select the frequency band using »MW•FM•FMST«.
  5. Use »TUNING« to tune to a station.
    Note:
    If the FM stereo signal is too weak, move the »MW•FM•FMST« switch to »FM« reception.
  6. To boost the base, move »ON UBS OFF« to the »ON« position.
  7. Switch off device by pressing »ON/OFF«.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Stereo earphone volume

Excessive volume can be dangerous to yourself and other road users.
Listen at a volume which allows you to hear outside noises such as horns, emergency vehicles and police cars.

Cleaning

Do not use any cleaning agent, as this may damage the casing. Clean the device with a clean, moist leather cloth.

Battaries: 1 x 1.5V (LR 03/AM 4/AAA).
Reception range: FM 87.5 – 108 MHz, MW 526.5 – 1606.5 kHz.
Output: 2 x 10 mW (earphones).

This device is designed for the playback of audio signals. Any other use is expressly prohibited. Protect the device from humidity. Never open the device casing. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from improper handling.

The type plate is located on the back of the device.
