Passing Fiber Through the Front Panel

Fiber can be passed directly through the front panel holes of the LDM-4616. We
recommend putting the rubber grommets from the shipping kit in the holes to
protect your fiber. If your fiber has an FC, ST, or SC connector on it, you can pass
the connector through the front panel holes with the grommets removed. With an
SC connector, you also need to remove the adapter plate with the 3/32" hex
socket wrench supplied in the shipping kit. After passing the connector through
the hole, slip the sliced rubber grommet around the fiber and push the grommet
into the hole to protect your fiber. See Figure 3.7.
