GTR CAPTURE

  • The TONE CAPTURE Guitar Pedal can sample any guitar, provided it has some form of pickup, and create a detailed digital Guitar model using MOOER's proprietary nonlinear IR technology. This is achieved by comparing the differences between the "SOURCE" (the guitar you want to use) and the guitar being sampled or the "TARGET" (the guitar you want it to sound like). A complex calculation then ensues and an uncanny digital recreation of your "TARGET" guitar tone is born. Activating the TONE CAPTURE with your newly created guitar model will instantly transform the tone of your "SOURCE" into that of your "TARGET". The guitar model can then be tweaked even further for use with other "SOURCE" instruments or even to create something completely new.

TARGET

  • After powering on, connect the TARGET guitar (the guitar you intend to sample), then press and hold the footswitch. The button light will turn red indicating it is in the TARGET acquisition mode. Press the footswitch again, and TARGET sampling begins indicated by the the LED indicators illuminating in order. During this process, we recommend playing an open chord first and then playing across the full range of the instrument. (The wider the coverage, the better the result will be.) When all 7 LEDs are lit and the light stops flashing, the sampling window is closed. Pressing the switch during or after sampling can terminate the sampling process. Press the switch again to start the sampling process over. If you are not happy with the sample, press the switch again to start over.

SOURCE

  • Press the LED button, it will turn blue to enter the SOURCE sampling mode.
Connect the INPUT to the guitar you want to use with the TARGET sample (SOURCE). Short press the switch to start SOURCE capture. Again, we recommend playing an open chord first and then playing across the full range of the instrument or play as close as possible to what was played in TARGET mode. Pressing the switch during the sampling process can terminate the sampling process. Press the switch again to start sampling again and after the sampling is finished, press the switch to resample.

MUTE

  • After SOURCE and TARGET are sampled, press and hold the footswitch to mute the output.

Saving

  • After the SOURCE sampling is finished, press the LED button to confirm the sampling result and choose a save slot. At this time, the LED indicator will start to flash to indicate the current slot. Press and hold the LED Button to save the sampling file.

Delete

  • The sampling files can be deleted by pressing the LED Button while the effect is off. The LED flashes quickly and stops, indicating that the deletion is completed.

TRUE/BUFFER BYPASS

  • Unplug the power supply. Press and hold the footswitch while powering on the unit. When the LED indicator lights up in ascending order (1-7), the pedals is in buffer bypass mode. If the LED indicator lights up in descending order (7-1), the pedal is in true bypass mode.

Factory reset

  • Unplug the power supply, press and hold the LED Button, then power on. The pedal will reset.

Firmware update

  • Unplug the power supply, press and hold the footswitch and LED Button simultaneously, power on the pedal to enter firmware update mode.
