Ver. 1.3
The SERVICING NOTES contains important information for servicing. Be sure to read this section before repairing the unit.
UNLEADED SOLDER
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with the lead-
free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with
the lead free mark due to their particular size)
: LEAD FREE MARK
Unleaded solder has the following characteristics.
Unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 °C higher
than ordinary solder.
Ordinary soldering irons can be used but the iron tip has to be
applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer time.
Soldering irons using a temperature regulator should be set to
about 350 °C.
Caution: The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful!
Strong viscosity
Unleaded solder is more viscous (sticky, less prone to fl ow)
than ordinary solder so use caution not to let solder bridges
occur such as on IC pins, etc.
Usable with ordinary solder
It is best to use only unleaded solder but unleaded solder may
also be added to ordinary solder.
REPLACING THE LITHIUM BATTERY OF THE REMOTE
COMMANDER (Except AEP, UK models only)
Under normal conditions, the battery will last
approximately 1 year. (The service life may be
shorter depending on the conditions of use.)
When the battery becomes weak, the range of the
remote commander becomes shorter.
CAUTION
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent
type.
Notes on the lithium battery
• Keep the lithium battery out of the reach of children.
Should the battery be swallowed, immediately consult a
doctor.
• Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to ensure good contact.
• Be sure to observe the correct polarity when installing the
battery.
• Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers, otherwise
a short-circuit may occur.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR REPAIRING
This unit might contain individual information that the customer
registered in the replaced old part because it installs the Bluetooth
function.
Therefore, when repairing, because the data that the customer reg-
istered might disappear, get the approval of the customer before-
hand.
If any of the following repair is performed, that data disappears.
Complete TFT board replacing
Factory reset (Initialize)
