6.4. System control
For a group control with MA remote controller (PAR-21MAA), the optional kit (MAC-
397IF-E) is necessary.
Note:
1. Be sure the Auto Heating/Cooling Display Setting on the MA remote con-
troller (PAR-21MAA) is set to OFF before use.
• For information on how to set the Auto Heating/Cooling Display Setting,
see the 8. Function Selection on the operation manual.
• The actual operating status of the unit may differ from what is shown on
the remote controller display.
. A test run cannot be initiated using the test run switch on the MA remote
controller (PAR-1MAA).
3. The horizontal vanes on the unit cannot be operated using louver switch
of the MA remote controller (PAR-1MAA).
4. The range of room temperature indication is between 10 °C and 38 °C.
5. Set the dip switches (SW500, 501, 50) on the interface unit before turn-
ing the power ON.
6. The air conditioner will not operate properly unless the dip switches
(SW500, 501, 50) on the interface unit are properly set.
7. The contents that appear on the displays may differ between the MA re-
mote controller that is connected to the indoor unit and the MA remote
controller that is connected to the interface unit.
► One remote controller can be used to operate multiple unit (Fig. 6-11)
This function of group control allows to operate multiple units (a maxi-
mum of up to 16 outdoor units) as one group with one remote controller.
► Connect interface (MAC-397IF-E) to the connecter (CN105/CN92) of the
indoor controller board (ever refrigerant address) (Fig. 6-10)
► Connect the MA remote controller to the terminal A/B of the refrigerant ad-
dress "0" interface (MAC-397IF-E). (Fig. 6-11)
► Connect every refrigerant address of interface (MAC-397IF-E) each other's
terminal A/B.
6.4.1. Dip switch settings
SW500: (Fig. 6-1)
Does not have to be set (Set OFF of all switch)
SW501:
• SW501-No.1~4:Refrigerant address (Fig. 6-13)
*Always start the refrigerant address at "0".
• SW501-No.5, 6 (Fig. 6-14)
No.5:Set OFF
* Room temperature detector
ON:MA remote controller
OFF:Indoor unit
On this model, the MA remote controller does not detect temperatures when the
interface is connected.
