    14. The total length of the twisted-paired cables of the M-NET network must be less than 900 m. When the total length exceeds 900m you need to install additional option devices. Please consult your closest Miura office for further information.

    Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual 3 Moving 3.1 Dimensions See the section 7: Specifications for the dimensions and weights. The transportation sizes are a little larger than the actual sizes since it is packed in a cardboard box. 3.2 Moving Instruction Please use a hand lift or carriage to protect the device from damage when you move it.

    4 Installation 4.1 Installation Suggestions NOTE Please make sure that the Comm-Link/ER will be installed at a right place which meets the following requirement. It might cause a problem when it is not installed properly.  The device must be installed indoors. Please install the device at a place where doesn’t have a raining, snowing, or freezing risk.

    4.2 Mounting Please tightly install (4)-anchor bolts (pre-installed or hole-in-anchor bolts) in the wall on which you install the Comm-Link/ER cabinet. Please see the figure 4-1 for the locations and sizes of the anchor bolts. Pre-installed or Hole-in-anchor bolts 5/16”...

    5 Wirings 5.1 Cable Holes You should make cable holes at the bottom side of the Comm-Link/ER cabinet to install the power cables, ground cables, signal cables, and communication cables. Please use wiring protections such as cord bushings. 5.2 Main Power and Ground Wirings Please establish the power cable connection to the Comm-Link/ER cabinet.

    Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual 5.4 Boiler Network Wirings As shown in the “Figure 5-3: Boiler Network Communication Cables” and “Figure 5-4: Twisted-Paired Cables to the Terminal Block”, please connect the boiler network communication cables (twisted-paired cables) from another M-NET device to the communication adaptor terminal block.

    Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual 5.5 Modbus TCP Wirings The communication cable to the Modbus TCP network needs to be installed to send the Miura boiler system data to the customer’s system. Please install the Ethernet cable of Modbus TCP to the PROFINET (LAN) connector port of the Micro controller with the “Figure 5-5 Ethernet Cable Connection”.

    Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual 6 IPC Installation and Wirings 6.1 IPC Installation Bracket Installation You can find two brackets in the shipped box for the IPC installation. Please install the brackets to the IPC cabinet using (6) - M3 x 6mm screw volts which will also be found in the box. The maximum screw depth in the box is 5mm.

    Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual 6.2 IPC Wirings COM1- Serial Cable Connection Please connect the serial cable with a D-sub 9 pin type connector (with COM1 sticker) to the COM1 serial connector port of the IPC (see Figure 6-4). COM4- Serial Cable Connection Please connect the serial cable with a D-sub 9 pin type connector (with COM4 sticker) to the COM4 serial connector port of the IPC (see Figure 6-4).
  • Page 19 Comm-Link/ER Installation Manual Keyboard and Mouse Connection Please connect the keyboard cable to the USB connector (see Figure 6-5). Then please connect the mouse connector to the keyboard (or the IPC directly). You can use the side cable hole for the USB cables.

Then please connect the USB cable of the audio adaptor to the USB connector port of the IPC.
