    PUTTING THE PHONE INTO OPERATION 2.1. Insert SIM and battery 1. Loosen the screws and open the battery compartment door (Fig.6 and Fig.7). 2. Slide the metal flap towards the top side of the phone and open, insert the SIM card making sure that the card's contacts are facing the phone (Fig.8). Close the flap and slide it towards the underside of the phone to secure the closure.

    2.2. Insert microSD card (optional) Refer to the instructions in "Inserting the SIM and Battery" to open the battery door. Slide the metal flap towards the top side of the phone and open, insert the microSD memory card making sure the card's contacts are facing the phone (Fig.10), close the flap and slide it towards the underside of the phone to secure the closure.

    2.3. Battery charging 1. Open the protective flap on the top of the phone, insert the charger connector into the charger socket. Warning: Incorrect connection of the charger connector may cause damage to the phone. Damage caused by improper use is not covered by the warranty.

    Note: When the battery is completely discharged, the phone displays a warning message and automatically switches off. In this case, it is not possible to switch the phone back on and when you put it on charge, you may have to wait a few minutes before t h e display turns on and shows the battery icon indicating the charging status.

    TELEPHONE USE 3.1. Telephone on/off Press and hold the [CLOSE] button to switch on or off. 3.2. Key lock Press the [LEFT FUNCTION] button then [*] to lock or unlock the keys. 3.3. How to make a call 1. Dial the number and press the [CALL] key. If you make a mistake, press the [RIGHT FUNCTION] key corresponding to the word (DELETE).

    Note: To call a number in the phonebook, see chapter "PHONEBOOK" section "Searching for and dialling a number in the phonebook". 3.4. Fast composition Speed dialling allows you to call the telephone number associated with the relevant key on the keypad by holding down the key (keys 2 to 9). To enter numbers in speed dial, see chapter 'REDIAL'.

    3.7. Audio volume adjustment In conversation, press the [VOLUME] buttons to adjust the sound. 3.8. Ringer volume adjustment See chapter 'PROFILES'. The ring tone can also be adjusted by pressing the [VOLUME] buttons in standby. 3.9. Silent mode Press and hold the [#] button to switch from normal to silent ringer mode. The display shows the corresponding icon.

    3.11. SOS button To activate the emergency call, press and hold the [SOS] key. The phone switches to the emergency state: - The siren sounds and starts calling the previously set telephone numbers. - If one of the called numbers answers, the telephone activates the hands-free function and exits the emergency state.

    2. Select (BRIGHTNESS), press the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] buttons, press (OK). 7.2. SIM lock (PIN) SIM lock is used to prevent unauthorised use of the SIM. If you activate the SIM lock, you need to enter your PIN (provided with the SIM card by your service provider) and press (OK) each time the phone is switched on.

    In step 1 select (CHANGE PIN). 2. Enter the old PIN and press (OK). 3. Enter the new PIN and press (OK). 4. Confirm the new PIN and press (OK). 7.3. Phone Lock (Phone Password) The purpose of the phone lock is to prevent unauthorised use of the phone. If the Phone lock is activated, it is necessary to enter the phone password (1122 set at the factory) and press (OK) each time the phone is switched on.
