    COMMISSIONING THE SMARTPHONE 2.1. Insert SIM and battery Switch off the smartphone. 1. Pry into the bottom slot and open the battery door (Fig.6). 2. Remove the battery (Fig.7). 3.     SMARTPHONE USE 3.1. Switching the smartphone on/off To switch on, press and hold the [ON/OFF] button. To turn off, press and hold the [ON/OFF] button, tap OFF. When turning on the smartphone for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions to set it up. Configure following the wizard, mobile network, Wi-Fi, date and time (inserting the SIM card automatically updates date and time), phone protection, or tap Ignore to skip configuration and quickly activate the...

    3.2. Activating/deactivating the screen Press the [ON/OFF] button to switch the screen on and off. The screen automatically switches off when not in use for a certain period of time (settable). 3.3. Unlocking the screen Touch the screen and slide upwards (lock open) to unlock. 3.4.

To customise the screens with your favourite applications (Apps), from the Home screen tap the All Apps app, scroll through the list of available Apps, tap the green (+) symbol of the App to insert it or the red (-) symbol to remove it from the screen.

    3.7. Answering a call 1. Scroll the green handset symbol upwards to answer or press the [CALL] key, scroll downwards to reject. To silence the ringer press the [VOLUME] keys. 2. At the end of the conversation touch the red handset symbol or press the [CALL] button.

    3.9. Audio volume adjustment In conversation, press the [VOLUME] buttons to adjust the sound. 3.10.     3.12. Adding a New Contact to the Address Book If inserting a SIM card with contacts and tapping on the Contacts app does not display these contacts, tap on the line symbol in the top left- hand corner/tap Settings/tap Import and import contacts from the SIM card.

    Note: For contacts in the SIM only Name and Number can be entered, it is not possible to associate the photo and enter further details. 3.13. Calling a contact in the address book 1. Tap the Contacts app, scroll up and down to search for the contact or tap Search Contacts at the top of the screen and type the name.
