    COMMISSIONING THE SMARTPHONE 2.1. Insert SIM If the smartphone is switched on, switch it off before performing this operation. 1. Open the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap at the top left. Insert the supplied tool into the hole next to the flap and press lightly to release the SIM holder slide. Pull out the SIM holder slide.

    2.2. Insert microSD card (optional) If the smartphone is switched on, switch it off before performing this operation. 1. Open the 'SIM & TF-CARD' flap at the top left. Insert the supplied tool into the hole next to the flap and press lightly to release the SIM holder slide. Pull out the SIM holder slide.
  • Page 10 4. When charging is complete, disconnect the charger from the 230V mains socket, then unplug the charger connector from its socket on the smartphone. 5. Close the flap to restore the IP68 protection of the phone. Note: When the battery is completely discharged, the smartphone displays a warning message and automatically switches off.

    SMARTPHONE USE 3.1. Switching the smartphone on/off To switch on, press and hold the [ON/OFF] button on the right side of the smartphone. To switch off press and hold the [ON/OFF] button on the right side of the smartphone, the screen displays some options, tap OFF. Caution: When switching on the smartphone for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.

    The screen switches off automatically when not in use for a certain period of time (settable). 3.3. Unlocking the screen Touch the screen and slide upwards (lock open) to unlock. 3.4. Basic operations 3.4.1. Home screen Tap the [Home] button, central round button at the bottom of the screen, to return to the Home screen.

    3.4.4. Keys on the navigation bar Home: Central round button, to return to the Home screen. Back: triangular key to return to the previous screen. Recent Apps: square button to view recent apps. Select DELETE ALL to delete the list. To choose a different key configuration, go to phone settings (cogwheel) and choose Navigation bar.

    3.5. How to make a call Tap the Phone App Tap the symbol in the bottom right-hand corner, dial the number.     3.6. Answering a call Slide the green handset symbol upwards to answer or slide downwards to reject. To mute the ringer, press the volume control keys on the upper right side. At the end of the conversation, tap the red handset symbol to end the call.

Adding a New Contact to the Address Book If inserting the SIM card that contains contacts and tapping the Contacts App does not display these contacts, tap the line symbol in the top left-hand corner/tap Settings/tap Import/tap SIM Card to import contacts.
