BEFORE INSTALLATION
Location
• Choose a location that can withstand the weight of the air conditioner without
increasing noise and vibration.
• Install it near the entrance and exit where there is no obstruction to airflow and the
entire room can be cooled.
• Keep at least a one metre clearance between any electronic devices (for example,
televisions and radios) and the air conditioner.
• Be sure that the hot/cold air and noise will not disturb your neighbours.
• Do not place anything near the air outlet of the air conditioner as this will reduce
performance and increase noise.
• Ensure there are no heat sources near the location where the air conditioner will be
installed.
• Ensure windows are strong and do not vibrate during windy conditions.
• Do not install the air conditioner in a location that will result in the hot air blowing
from the back of the unit to blow into windows of adjacent housing/buildings.
• Do not install in an area where flammable gases are present.

Installation of earth and earth leakage circuit breakers
Grounding work and earth leakage breakers are required to prevent electric shock.
Do not connect the ground wire in the following places:
• Gas pipes
• Water pipes
• Lightning rods, ground wires, and telephone lines
