tem to both mounting brackets in the vehicle.

Top Tether belts are tted
The rear seat backrests may fold forwards.
As a result, child restraint systems will no lon-
ger be able to perform their intended protec-
tive function. This may also cause additional
injuries.
Always lock rear seat backrests a er t-

ting Top Tether belts.
Adjust the rear seat backrests so that
#
they are in an upright position.
Ensure that the rear seat backrest is engaged. To
do so, pull forcefully on the seat backrest.
¯ If the child restraint system is equipped
with a Top Tether belt:
The risk of injury may be reduced by Top
Tether. The Top Tether belt enables an
additional connection between the child
restraint system attached with ISOFIX or
i‑Size and the vehicle.
Occupant safety
Remove the load compartment cover and the

partitioning net (
page 100).

If necessary, slide head restraint
#
(
page 87).

Fit the ISOFIX or i‑Size child restraint system
#
with Top Tether. In doing so, comply with the
child restraint system manufacturer's installa-
tion instructions.
