F F unctions of ABS
unctions of ABS
The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) regulates the
brake pressure in critical driving situations:
During braking, for instance, at maximum full-
R
stop braking or if there is insu cient tyre trac-
tion, the wheels are prevented from locking.
Vehicle steerability while braking is ensured.
R
If ABS intervenes when braking, you will feel a
pulsing in the brake pedal. The pulsating brake
pedal can be an indication of hazardous road con-
ditions and can serve as a reminder to take extra
care while driving.
