cNODE Micro Instruction Manual

Turning on the TTC

Before deployment, it is recommended to test the transponder with the Test and
Configuration unit (TTC) to make sure the transponder is fully operational.
Procedure

Open the suitcase.
Push the button in the middle of the fastener to open it.

Turn on the main power switch to start the program.
This takes approximately 1.5 minutes.

Acoustic test

Test the transponder acoustics to make sure it is functioning correctly..
Procedure

Set
TTC Power
to confirm your selection.
Set

Connect the test transducer cable to the upper right connector.

Place the test transducer face to face with the transponder transducer.

Select the
Acoustic test

Type in the serial number, if necessary.

Type in the transponder channel number, if necessary.

Tap

Interrogate

A green indicator will flash on the display if there is acoustic contact with the
transponder.

Transponder channels

All transponders have the default channel numbers on the label.
cNODE Micro only operates in Cymbal mode and uses the channels M01 - M56 for
SSBL and M57 - M62 for LBL interrogation. Channels such as B12 are not supported,
as they are for FSK use.
